Today, our sweet little girl is a whole year older! I can't believe how fast time is flying by, if I could freeze it, I would. As much as she's in the terrible two's, she's not so terrible - in fact, I love her at this age!
We asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday today (knowing we're in house-limbo; not quite in the new one, not quite out of the old one), and she asked to go for a sunshine breakfast, so that's exactly where we took her! This scrunchy grin just kills me :)

She brought her friends, Bambi and Thumper, both of which kept her occupied until her meal came... such imagination!

When she finished her breakie, we asked her if she had a good birthday french toast. And the response?

French toast makes me happy too sweets!
Little did she know that grandma, grandpa and Lucy made their way over to our place for a surprise birthday party! Grandpa went to get her gift out of the car while grandma kept her occupied:

Okay, close your eyes...

Hey, no peeking!

Surprise!!! WOW! A bike! 'I wanna ride it, I wanna ride it!'

Daddy and I also got her some fun gifts for her to open; a bubble mower for the new backyard, and a musical tea set - a coveted item a friend has, but now one all to herself!

After my parents left, we had to run some errands. While we were out, we asked Caitlin what she wanted to have for her birthday dinner and she requested, of course, pizza. So after a quick trip to Rona for some random crap for the new place, and a ride on a neat tractor...

Pizza! And our little munchkin remembered she could blow bubbles in her chocolate milk. I'm sure it made it extra yummy :)

Then a big hug for daddy on the way to the car...

And birthday cupcakes for dessert! She specifically requested 'green rainbow cupcakes' so I did my best!

And last but not least, a warm birthday bubble bath.

If I was able to have a glass of wine, I would. It was a busy day celebrating a 2-year olds' special day!!
To Caitlin: Daddy and I love you very much and it's been amazing watching you grow each day this past year! You're so smart, funny and beautiful inside and out. We love you so much and we know that this coming year will be even more fun than the last. Thank you for coming into our lives; we feel absolutely blessed to see you smile each and every day. Happy 2nd Birthday!
