The drive and the snow were SO pretty, but the best part, was arriving to a warm cup of hot chocolate with a homemade decorative gingerbread house on the side. Uncle Graham is so talented! He unfortunately had to go back to the city, but we reaped the benefits of what he left behind ;)
Notice anything guys?!
My dad was the one that saw it first! Except it didn't click; when he read out her shirt, he wanted to know if that's how you spelled 'sister' (yes, dad's spelling is atrocious) - and when he read it and asked out loud, mom overheard and came rushing over saying 'What? What?! What are you talking about?!!' She knew immediately and we still had to explain it to dad :)It was hilarious because we had a special way of announcing my pregnancy with Caitlin too. We created a wine bottle label called 'Bebe Nouveau' and had planned to put it on the Thanksgiving table when we were all gathered for dinner. Except just before we ate, we were sitting in the living room with everyone but dad - he was in the office changing the music on the iPod - and mom outright asked me if I was pregnant because she had a feeling! So she jumped up, yelled hooray and everyone was giving us hugs when dad walked out of the office not knowing what was going on! Feeling a little left out then, I was glad he noticed first this time. But it obviously didn't matter, he was again the last to figure it out! It was pretty funny though :)
And of course, Caitlin enjoyed being the centre of attention as usual, not grasping at all what we were all fussing over :)
I was trying to get a clear picture of her shirt and she was pretty fidgety, so grandma had the bright idea of playing 'Simon Says'. Surprisingly, she followed commands. Simon says, touch your head!
Simon says, you better be good to mommy and daddy when the baby comes!
