We decided to leave Caitlin at home because she came to our dating ultrasound when we first found out, and got quite upset when the technician put gel on my belly. For weeks afterwards, she'd lie down on the floor, pull up her t-shirt, rub her belly and say 'mommy water' in the saddest voice possible! So we scheduled it during her nap time :)
So as she was catching her zzz's, we met her new sibling - here are some pics of our new baby!
It was nice - the technician let Mike come in right at the beginning; usually they make the spouse wait outside. So he got to see the little one squirming around, watch the heartbeat and have the technician tell us that she thinks we're 10 days ahead of schedule. So instead of August 31st, we're August 21st! Caitlin's birthday was right on the day as per the 3 month ultrasound (although they didn't officially change my due date), so it will be interesting to see how close this 3 month ultrasound dating is.
It was neat to see him/her nonetheless! And no, we won't be finding out if it's a girl or a boy. Caitlin was such a wonderful surprise, and we want that same feeling again :)
