New Tricks

Caitlin is doing lots of new things lately... it's amazing how much things have changed just over the Christmas break! Here's what she's up to now:

- She's learned how to wave to people; both hi's, goodbye's and even goodnights :) It's absolutely hilarious because she waves to random people in the mall... we'll be going up the escalator and she'll wave and smile to people going down the other side until they look at her. Such a little attention seeker!



- She's slowly learning to crawl; she gets her knees underneath and rocks back and forth... but when she goes forward she either gets one arm pinned between her tummy and floor, or loses the momentum and splays back out.

- She's learned another new sound 'na na na'. I have a feeling it's from her menamo (aka soother).

- She looks to us and smiles when she farts. What a pig.

- She's extremely ticklish; she loves it when daddy is holding her and mommy comes slowly towards her with tickle fingers. She squeals and wiggles in sheer delight!

- She's great at sitting overall; she's strong and if she feels like going on her tummy, she knows how to slowly lower herself so she doesn't bonk her head. She loves sitting in the tub too and playing with her boat full of Fisher Price crustaceans!

- She can also pull herself up from a sitting position to look inside her tickle trunk. That's about the only place she can do it so far and it's because she pushes against it with her feet at the same time.

- She likes to drink out of her sippy cups... but even though their spill proof, she still gets soaked. But that's her own fault because she'll suck the water out but not swallow all of it.
