Our little munchkin has been baptized!
Caitlin had her big day at church wearing a beautiful handmade smocked gown and bonnet that grandma made especially for her (which received MANY compliments - it was truly lovely).
And with all her godparents, family and friends surrounding us, Canon Greg Physick took her for a splash in the Holy Water... literally... as soon as he picked her up and leaned her over the baptismal font, she stuck her hand in the water and started splashing around while smiling. What a little bugger! He poured water over her forehead three times, anointed her with an oil cross, and marked her as one of Christ's own forever.
I was so proud of her - she was SO well behaved. When he introduced our new little Christian to the parish, she received quite a few chuckles - she had a great big smile which wrapped from ear to ear. Everyone thought she was adorable because she's such a happy baby :)
