Away We Go!

So the three of us are off to Cape Cod for a much needed vacation! I used to go to Cape Cod all the time as a kid, so we decided it would be a fun place to take our new little family :) Beaches, here we come!

And of course the day before we left, Caitlin showed definite signs of what we think is a tummy bug... 9 bum changes in a 2 hour span. Poor girl. We've had to make several stops on the way down (which has turned our 7 hour trip into an 8.5 hour trip due to the 'tour de service station loos'). We're trying to make sure she stays hydrated because we definitely don't want to have to go to the clinic while in the states... She seems happy, and surprisingly, was quite good in the car. She had great naps!

It was really pretty driving through New York. We're stopping in Albany overnight tonight at the Hilton... and thank goodness, it was a very long day driving in rainy weather.

Caitlin was happy we arrived too. She was tired of being in the car, and the bed was really comfy.

And of course, all she wanted to do was screw around playing peek-a-boo in the hall closet.



We also decided to let her roam without a diaper as we wanted her to air out a bit to prevent a diaper rash. At this point, it seems inevitable. But it wasn't such a good idea... She peed and pooed on the floor at the Hilton. Way to go Caitlin!
