More Turkey!

Not only did we enjoy a second turkey dinner last night at Mike's parents' house, they had TWO turkeys! One was cooked conventionally in the oven with all the trimmings, and the other was a 'test' turkey... in the turkey deep fryer Mike and I received for our wedding (yes, 5 years ago and we're just trying it out now...)

Piping hot oil...

In she goes!

Caitlin waited patiently for deep fried turkey with her auntie Kristina :)

Bubbling away...

A snapshot of all the first born generations on Mike's side of the family!

Twenty-five minutes later, and voila - fully cooked, juicy turkey!

Speaking of turkey...

Okay, so maybe the deep fried version wasn't as pretty as the conventional turkey; Caitlin eyed it like it was from another planet until it was carved up. But she ate it anyway and it was pretty tasty.

Happy thanksgiving, again!
