Today was a fun-filled day in Muskoka!
After a quick breakfast, we went out in the boat to see the Segwun; unlike the serene dinner cruise we saw last night, this morning was a pirate cruise complete with cannons and sword fights! So off we went, and caught it en route...

Boats literally follow the Segwun during this cruise because it's neat to watch the 'pirates' on board, perform.

Even a float plane flew over, circled and tipped it's wings!

And not only do the people on board the big boat take part, but so do cottagers! They decorate boats and dress-up in garb:

The Segwun even has a specific route it travels because some cottagers even do a dock-side performance...

And fire cannons at the boat!!

Arrr, matee!! Walk the plank!

It made quite the impression on Caitlin - after we left, she kept asking for more pirates :)
After the show ended, we went to a beach so Caitlin could splash and wade to her hearts desire! Ugh, my pregnant belly is so not becoming... but it's neat to know there's a little person in there, ready to make an appearance very soon!

Here we are; the last family shot of while there's still just 3!

She liked hopping up and down from dock to dock...

And made her way down the end to search for minnows with dad :)

But a favourite part was sitting with gramps :)

On the way back, she decided she wanted to drive the boat into the bay. Grandpa was happy to let our 2-year old take control. Lucky duck!

But, alas, the weekend has yet again come to an end. Once we got back to the cottage, we had a quick lunch and packed up. But not before a fashion show of clothes she found in the garage! Yaaa bagpipe skirts and pretty dresses!

Then she said goodbye to everyone including Lucy...

And had a nap on the way home.

I'm sure she dreamt of all the great things we did this summer, and I know she's going to love showing her new brother or sister all the wonderful things the cottage has to offer :) Until next time when we visit as a family of 4!
