Fun in the Sun

Caitlin had a ball yesterday in Wasaga! She willfully sported her life jacket and scampered along the beach - she wasn't too keen on going in the surf, but was happy to wave!

We tried to coax her with a little raft thinking that she'd be more apt to going in the water if she were in something fun... But no, it didn't fly.

She just wanted to be held by her auntie Kristina!

At one point, Daddy was able to convince her to wade in with him. Although she didn't make it too much further, she ended up on his shoulders as they braced the waves saying 'whoa! whoa! WHOA! :)

And as per her request, they went back to shore... where she ran like a mad woman!

She came back to the umbrella where the toys were and had some lunch while she played in the sand.

Scoop, dump! More scooping, more dumping!

She really enjoyed playing with her cousin, Sienna. They're best of pals!

Ahhh... what a view!

After the beach, we went back to aunt Francie's cottage for the annual street barbecue, which was an enormous meal. That's one thing I'm looking forward to once I have this baby... being able to eat and enjoy a meal again and not be full after one bite!!

When it was time to leave, it took everything to keep Caitlin awake on the ride home; we sang, watched movies and I tickled toes. She had missed her nap again - but we planned on this as she wasn't napping anyway, and it conflicted with the timing of our day trip. So once we got in, she totally conked right out... as did we!
