Dressed Up

Mike's maternal grandmother passed away a few short days ago, and today is her funeral. This was the first time we've had to get both kids up, dressed, and out the door by a specific time for an event. Adam looked so sweet in his little outfit :)

And you wouldn't guess it was a somber day from the smiles. But that's what life is about; smiling and remembering the good times.

Their G-G was a fan of the bagpipes, so part of the internment ceremony was having a bagpiper come to play 'Amazing Grace'. I thought for sure Caitlin would be in awe (she regularly sings and marches to Loch Lomond), but once he was up close in his kilt, headdress and booming set of pipes, she cowered behind us and begged to go back to the car... Guess he was a little too close for comfort.

As Caitlin ate Timbits and yammered on about the bagpiper on the way home, our other little munchkin fell asleep :)
