Two Goblins
As every morning, the kids woke up in great moods :) After breakfast, they had some playtime on the floor in the living room. Caitlin showed Adam how to use his parking garage...
Then she noticed he didn't have his menamo. Here you go buddy! She's so helpful - she'll run over to him if he starts to squawk, but even if he's sitting happily, she'll ask him if he wants anything. It's absolutely adorable watching her mother him. Such a good big sister!
He's so strong with his neck; this is about 10 minutes after he started tummy time and he hasn't given up. I remember Caitlin was about 3 months when she held hers up fairly regularly; he's on track to that too, if not a bit stronger.
Break time with big smiles :)
This is my absolute favourite photo of them so far - this was just after she planted about a million kisses on his forehead :)
After lunch, Caitlin had a surprisingly good nap. I was shocked because excitement is at an all-time high today - she knows she's going trick-or-treating tonight and is hyped up. I'm glad she had a good nap though because that means she can stay out a bit later collecting treats!
When we were at the pumpkin patch, we bought her a special treat for this afternoon. We told her to close her eyes and hold out her hands (this is her peeking)...
Surprise! It's a scary gingerbread cookie!
A token fly-around before he lands in her mouth... woooosh!
Thank you mommy and daddy!
His smartie buttons and face were first to go... yum!
We made it half-way through dinner when the doorbell started to ring with trick-or-treaters... It was maybe 5:30pm; seems so early nowadays! Needless to say, she wasn't interested in finishing her meal. So we gobbled up what we could and rushed to get dressed up. She and Adam dressed up as characters from Nemo; she as Nemo of course, and Adam as Bruce the shark. And she wanted daddy to be a pirate. So becoming on you dear!
Adam and I camped out at the house to shell out candy while daddy took Caitlin around the neighbourhood. She was such a champ; she did 4 streets! While he napped, I got some spooky pics of our decor. Lit pumpkins...
And a graveyard buried by our scary hydro box.
When she got home, we all inspected her loot with the Wizard of Oz playing in the background; her new favourite movie :) The perfect Halloween moment, reminiscent of when we were kids.
But it was pretty late and time for bed, so I got a nice pic with my two goblins...
...and she said thank you to daddy for taking her out to get a bag 'o goodies before heading up to bed :)
We were all pretty wiped. Our littlest ghoul even fell asleep on cue :)
